About Us

Established in 1982, the Franklin Group provides investment advice, project development and management services to a wide range of New Zealand and international clients.

Offices

Franklin Group Head Office is at Pukekohe East, just east of Pukekohe township and approximately 50 minutes drive south of Auckland.

An Operations office is located in Te Puke in the Bay of Plenty region.

 

Project Locations

Franklin Group services investment projects in the main forestry and farming districts of New Zealand.

Plantation Forestry projects are being managed in the North Island regions of Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Wanganui and Waikato.

Large-scale dairy projects have been established in the South Island in North Otago and Southland.

A sheep and beef unit is managed in the North Island's East Coast region

The Company uses its expertise to select sites capable of providing superior returns for clients and most suited to the forest or farming industry involved.

 

Professional Staff

Franklin Group’s Directors are Derek Hopkins and Peter McLeod. They both have many years’ experience in consultancy and investment project establishment and management.

Administration, marketing, farm and forest management personnel assist in providing client service.

 

Administration

Franklin Group has the resources to administer the business affairs of project clients, including financial management, reporting to investors, maintaining records and supervising staff.

 

International Experience

The Directors have consultancy experience in Asia, the United Kingdom, Australia and the South Pacific.

 

Associated Services

Franklin Group has a network of contacts with leading New Zealand and international accountancy, legal, forestry and engineering consultancy firms. Resources from these contacts can be made available to client investment projects.

 

Research and Industry Memberships

Franklin Group is a member of the Forest Plantation Management Cooperative, managed by the New Zealand Government’s Forest Research Institute. It is also a member of the Forest Owners Association, Farm Forestry Association and the Directors are members of professional agriculture, horticulture and forestry societies. These memberships enable input to research and industry affairs and provide early access to the best information.
